'The Watchers' Is Mujahid Jalil's second solo exhibition of paintings and sculptures exploring an Orwellian society and its tendencies. With surreal forms and scenes, Mujahid creates allegories of routine, hierarchy and surveillance reflecting an age where everyone is constantly watched, and being watchers themselves. Routine As a Ritual

Revolving around the idea of subliminal control, Routine As a Ritual depicts an image of a god-like figure which has resemblance to a traffic light. Like to how some theist would look up in the sky for signs or help from God, Mujahid sees similarities in action and intention when one looks at a traffic light

Mujahid Jalil was born in the year 1998 and enrolled In Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2016. He then graduated with diploma in Fine Arts in the year 2018. The Singapore-based artist draws inspiration from his daily interaction and transforms them into paintings. Mujahid has showcased his works in both his home town and overseas. He recently participated in a group show with Coda Culture in Singapore. Education
